JAMMU, Feb 11: MLA Anantnag and former Minister, Peerzada Mohd Syeed has sanctioned Rs17 lakh for the construction of the boundary wall of the cremation ground at FM Lane, KP Road, Khanabal, Nai Basti, in Anantnag.
The money has been allotted by the MLA from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and he has urged the authorities concerned that the work must be completed in a stipulated time frame.
Peerzada, while handing over the letter to the representatives of Shiv Mandir Welfare Committee said his party has always worked for strengthening intercommunity bond. “Preservation of religious places and cultural monuments is the duty of us all and we should be always on forefront in discharging such responsibilities”, he said.
The Mandir Welfare Committee representatives said this generous support for the development and maintenance of the Cremation Ground was highly appreciated by the entire community. It reflects the MLA’s commitment towards addressing the genuine needs of the people.
The MLA also assured the delegation led by Chairman JKPCC Migrants Cell, Hira Lal Pandita and initiated by Jai Krishen Razdan along with Pran Nath Dadroo, Ramesh Dadroo, and Shiban Ji Koul ,that additional funds will be granted in the near future for installation of solar lights and other necessary developmental works.
