JAMMU, Feb 11: The J&K Govt Retiree Pensioner Employees Association led by Kulwant Singh Sambyal discussed the issues of pensioners /employees during a meeting held here today.
Speaking during the meeting Sambyal said that Government has failed to address the pending issues of the pensioners. Even in the budget no relief has been provided to the recently retired employees to clear their pending arrears or kept provision of enhancement of Medical allowance.
The pensioners demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, release pending pensioners’ benefits with interest, release of 18 months pending DA, release GPF of Govt employees and pensioners .
Several senior members including Ganesh Khajuria, Suraj Tufani, Darshan Sharma, Gopal Singh and others were present on the occasion and raised the issues.
