SRINAGAR, Feb 8: Police in Ganderbal today arrested two gamblers at the Narayan-Bagh area of the district and seized the stake money as well.
As per the police, the arrested gamblers have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Malik, son of Mohd Ismail Malik resident of Gamwara, Wakura and Manzoor Ahmad Khan, son of Jalal-u-din Khan resident of Narayan-Bagh.
“During the operation, stake money amounting to Rs.3,370 along with a deck of playing cards was recovered from the spot,” police said.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No. 19/2026, under Section 13 of the Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal, and further investigation is underway.
