UDHAMPUR, Feb 7: District Congress Committee (DCC) Udhampur here today held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of its District president, Sumeet Magotra.
The meeting witnessed participation from party workers and representatives from far-flung areas of the district.
Addressing the gathering, Magotra raised serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of roads in Mongri and Pancheri areas.
He said that poor infrastructure could lead to major accidents if corrective measures are not taken immediate.
The Congress leader also highlighted the pathetic condition of the road leading to Landar PHC.
He said that Badhota PHC, which caters to a population of nearly ten thousand, is currently functioning with only one Nursing Officer.
On National Law University (NLU) issue, Magotra said that Congress demands NLU is to be established in District Udhampur.
Several Block presidents, Sarpanches and senior Congress leaders were present on the occasion.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to intensify the party’s grassroots outreach.
