Both Sham Lal and Surinder Choudhary hurled allegations against each other claiming that the alleged foul language was first used by the other side. When the BJP MLA was listing failures of the Government, Dy CM intervened and sought to know why the daily wagers were not regularized in last eight years.
The trouble erupted when Sham Lal Sharma, while participating in discussion on the Lt Governor’s address, drew attention of the Speaker stating that a Doctor by profession and sitting MLA ( Dr Rameshwar Singh) should apologize from the House for using `inappropriate’ language.
As the MLA Bani quipped that he had used the term in general with no particular reference to anyone and sought to know whether the BJP MLA considers himself in such category for which the alleged derogatory word was used, Sham Lal Sharma sharply reminded the former that each word spoken on floor of the House are recorded in Assembly proceedings and one must refrain from using such language.
Amid hurling of teasing remarks against each other, Sham Lal Sharma said that he never uses derogatory words because of `Acche Sanskar’ (good values) given by his parent. His remarks invited sharp reaction from MLA Rameshwar Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary who retorted that parents of all members of the House have given them `Acche Sanskar’ and BJP MLA was not the exception.
“You people will teach us Sanskar? Where were these Sanskar when some of your men were calling for DNA test of Surinder Choudhary? Before our DNA, the DNA test of your people is required to be done,” said Dy CM.
During the exchange of words, MLA Khour and Minister for Youth Affairs, Satish Sharma also stood from his seat and lamented that no member of the House could dare to condemn the person from B Team of BJP who threatened to kill him.
Even as BJP MLA Rajiv Jasrotia sought to counter the allegation of B team, he was not audible in the din.
Sham Lal Sharma, who happens to be uncle of Satish Sharma, rebutted the allegation and said that that the House was not responsible for a statement made by some ruffian. “I was also issued similar threats by the same person and I also know to which Minister he met after attacking me,” he said and added that MLAs are role model and they must behave properly.
The heated exchange of words continued for more than half an hour during which Congress MLA Nizamuddin Bhat stood from his seat and urged the Speaker to intervene and expunge all these allegations and counter allegation.
