JAMMU, Feb 3: Senior public leader, Pawan Khajuria here today led a delegation and met Radheshyam Yadav, Regional Officer, National Highway-44.
The delegation highlighted the critical infrastructure and public safety concerns.
Khajuria talked about deplorable condition of Samba-Udhampur road, which is presently under Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
He said despite repeated representations to BRO officials for urgent repairs, condition of the road remains extremely poor.
The public leader further expressed serious concern over the unsafe condition of several bridges along the route and said that although many bridges have been reconstructed but quality of work at several locations was unsatisfactory.
“With the onset of even the first rainfall, reinforcement roads were exposed and concrete slabs begin to deteriorate while large potholes developed around many bridges posing a grave risk to commuters,” he claimed demanding a separate bypass to eliminate the risk of accidents.
