JAMMU, Feb 3: The BJP MLAs- Sham Lal Sharma and Arvind Gupta alongwith Ved Parkash Sharma, Incharge all Cell J&K BJP and Sham Lal Langer, Convener Trade Cell J&K BJP visited Chamber House to interact with the office bearers and senior members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu.
The primary objective of the interaction was to discuss the crucial local issues and industrial grievances to be raised during the ongoing budget session.
While welcoming the dignitaries Arun Gupta said it is a privilege for us that both the MLAs are members of our prestigious organization.
In his brief address Gupta highlighted the issues pertaining to Industry, Trade, Tourism, Sports and other issues of general public which include turnover incentives, abolition of negative list, ownership rights, flour millers issue, central interest subsidy, purchase preference, freight subsidy, power amnesty, GST reimbursement claims, land allotment cancellation, creation of new Industrial estates, commercial hub for all trades, execution of Lease deed, legalization of commercial shops in residential zones, redeveloping the old bus stand building into multistory hub, development of Patnitop, promotion of Tourism, completion of ongoing tourism projects, simplifying plots subdivision and map approval in Gandhi Nagar, development of residential/commercial colonies, Gair Mumkin Khad issue and decongestion of traffic.
Chamber president said that they have already submitted a memorandum in a pre-budget meeting with the government but still they feel that even their elected representatives from Jammu may also take up these issues during the current budget session for their redressal.
While speaking on the occasion Arvind Gupta said that since they have got the mandate to serve the people, they will take every issue discussed here to get them resolved.
Sham Lal Sharma, MLA in his brief address said that his party is serious to mitigate the problems /suffering of the people of Jammu. He said that every issue relating to trade, transport, tourism, industry or general public are our priorities to get them resolved.
