KATHUA, Feb 2: In a late night road accident here today, a car had a head on collision with a mini-truck at Kerrian Gandyal bridge which left the car driver dead and a woman onboard the car seriously injured.
Soon after the accident, the ill fated car was in flames.
The passerby immediately shifted the injured woman to GMC Kathua.
Cops along with fire tender reaches the spot and doused the fire and shifted the body of the deceased driver to the mortuary.
Eye witness informed that a speedy mini-truck bearing registration number PB02FC-2378 hit the car coming from the opposite side.
After the accident the mini-truck driver escaped leaving behind the injured lady and the deceased person.
Police has started taken cognizance of the incident and the deceased remained unidentified till last reports.
