JAMMU, Jan 31: To honour, Director CBC, Ghulam Abbas on his superannuation, a farewell function organised by the officers and staff of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), was held here today.
The event marked the culmination of his distinguished career spanning over 26 years in the field of Government communication, media management and public information dissemination.
During his tenure as Director and Head of Department, CBC J&K – Ladakh, Abbas provided visionary leadership and administrative acumen, ensuring effective implementation of national communication policies and strengthening Government outreach in the region.
He served the Government of India in various key capacities across organisations including Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Press Information Bureau (PIB) and All India Radio (AIR).
During the function, staff members shared personal anecdotes, underscoring the respect and warmth he commanded across all levels of the organisation.
Among others who attended the event included deputy Director, CBC, Ayushi Puri, senior Accounts Office, Rajesh Malik, Administrative Officer, O P Mauriya, along with officers and staff members of CBC Regional Office Jammu.
On the same occasion, a farewell was also accorded to Ayushi Puri, deputy Director, CBC, on her transfer to Doordarshan, Jammu. Colleagues appreciated her contributions and extended their best wishes for success in her new assignment.
