RAMBAN, Jan 30: A residential house was completely gutted in a fire incident here today at Panchayat Chakwa, Batote.
After a distress call was received on the emergency helpline number 112 regarding outbreak of fire at residential house of Chattu Ram in Ward No. 4, Panchayat Chakwa, Batote, Police responded promptly and cops from Police Station Batote, along with VDG Group Chakwa, rushed to the spot and during the preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the house was a three-storey structure where fire originated from the top storey due to suspected short circuit.
Soon the fire spread rapidly from the upper roof, engulfing the entire structure.
Cops with the active assistance of local residents, initiated immediate fire-fighting efforts and successfully brought the fire under control, thereby preventing further spread to nearby structures and no loss of life or injury to anyone was reported in the incident but all household articles and belongings inside the house were completely gutted.
