JAMMU, Jan 27: The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, and all ranks of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, today paid tribute to former police chief of the region, BS Bedi, who passed away on January 25, 2026.
A two minutes’ silence was also observed in all police units across the UT to pray for peace to the departed soul.
Pertinently, the 1961 batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, BS Bedi, served in Jammu and Kashmir with distinction during the turbulent period of 1990s.
DGP Nalin Prabhat and all ranks of the police conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
