Dimple demands ban on wine shops in Jammu city

JAMMU, Jan 22: To lodge his protest against the new liquor policy 2026-27, Sunil Dimple president Mission Statehood staged a rally here today and blocked the New Plot-Janipur road for some time, demanding a ban on the sale of liquor in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the protestors Dimple demanded the Government to bring a bill in this budget assembly session and ban the sale of liquor in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in the Jammu, the city of temples, Masjids and Gurudwaras.
He said, “After the abrogation of article 370, in 5 August 2019 the BJP Government made a liquor policy and opened more than three hundred shops, to loot poor people in Jammu.”
He warned we will start mass agitation for the ban on the sale of liquor and wine shops in Jammu Kashmir.
