JAMMU, Jan 22: Jagti Migrant Welfare Movement (JMWM) has expressed concern over the prevailing water scarcity in the township.
In a statement issued today president of the Movement Sunil Pandita appealed the Jal Shakti authorities to take immediate steps in restoring the water supply to the township as acute shortage has compounded the problems of the inmates.
He said despite repeated pleas for years together the authorities have failed to find a permanent solution to the problem. Every time assurances have been given by the concerned authorities in this regard but nothing concrete has materialised till date.
In an appeal to Minister of Jal Shakti, Pandita urged him to take the cognisance of the problem and issue directions to concerned authorities to take immediate steps in improving water supply to the township.
