JAMMU, Jan 22: Reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign towards empowering the girl child, convenor State Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, J&KUT, Ritika Trehan organized an awareness camp at Government Middle School (GMS), Channi Himmat, Jammu.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with Co-Convenor Indu Puri, vice president Monika Sharma and a dedicated team of volunteers, who collectively delivered a powerful message of gender equality, self-belief and ambition.
Addressing the students, Ritika Trehan underscored that the campaign’s core objective goes far beyond creating awareness.
She described the initiative as a sustained social movement aimed at transforming deeply rooted mindsets, breaking stereotypes and establishing education as the fundamental right and strongest shield of every girl child.
Trehan stressed that true empowerment begins when society collectively believes in the potential and capability of girls.
On the occasion, School Incharge Shanzaz Begum expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ritika Trehan and her team.
