DODA, Jan 18: Acting on the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, Police here today arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered 578 gram of Charas like narcotic substance from him.
A Naka and traffic checking point was established at Ganpat Bridge, Doda, by cops from Police Station Doda, led by the SHO Police Station Doda and IC Police Post Pull Doda, under the supervision of the DySP Headquarters Doda.

During Naka checking cops noticed a suspicious person who attempted to escape but was apprehended and his vehicle seized.
He was identified as Shravan Kumar, son of Narendra Kumar, resident of Chilly Bhalesa, Tehsil Gandoh, District Doda. During his personal search, 578 grams of Charas like substance was recovered.
Accordingly, an FIR with number 18/2026 Under Sections 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
