BISHNAH, Jan 18: In connection with the celebration of 649°’ Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a grand Shobha Yatra (Nagra Kirtan), was organized by Shri Guru Ravi Das Trust/Society Sikanderpur Kothey, Jammu, on Sunday from Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha Bhawan, RS Pura to Sikanderpur Kothey in Bishnah.
The Shobha Yatra after moving through Court Road RS Pura, Chohala Morh, Kotli Shah Doula, Simbal Morh, Miran Sahib to Dak Bunglow Maralian reached Sukhsagar Bhawan, Sikanderpur Kothey in Bishnah under the aegis of Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj.
Devotees from all walk of life gathered at Shri Guru Ravidas Bhawan, RS Pura to take part in the Shobha Yatra. Swami Gurdip Giri Ji flagged off the Shobha Yatra at 11:00 AM sharp. Various Sabha’s /Social organizations participated in this Nagar Kirtan with well decorated Jhankis.
Bands from different schools also participated in the Shobha Yatra. Many organizations welcomed the Shobha Yatra and distributed the eatables among the sangat all along the Yatra route.
Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj delivered the spiritual sermon and advised the Sangat to shun the path of violence, social evils and to follow the path shown by Guru Ravidas Ji.
MLA, Jammu South/ RS Pura, Dr Narinder Singh was also present on the occasion for seeking blessings and delivered his thoughts on the life and teachings of the Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
