UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: In an apparent case of suicide, a man was found hanging from a tree in forest area at Ghordi, here today.
The deceased was identified as Mulkh Raj (45), son of Ludri Ram, resident of Sear Bala A/P Ghordi. He was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances.
The hanging body was spotted by some locals. On being informed, a Police team from Police Post Ghordi reached the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the post-mortem and other legal formalities.
Cause of provocation behind the apparent suicide could not be ascertained. A case has been registered in this connection at Ramnagar Police Station for further investigation.
