KATRA, Jan 17: Police arrested a drug peddler at Panthal Naka and recovered banned narcotic substance from his possession.
At about 20:30 hours, a police party deployed at Panthal Naka, Police Post Kakryal, intercepted and checked one person identified as Manohar Lal, son of Shongu Ram, resident of Saroon Aghar Jitto, Tehsil Katra. During the search, 6.03 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR number 22/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and backward/forward linkages of the contraband.
