DODA, Jan 16: Ahead of Republic Day 2026, SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta here today chaired a crucial meeting of Subsidiary Multi-Agency Centre (SMAC).
The meeting was attended by senior officers from District Police Doda, Army, CAPFs and various intelligence agencies operating in the district.
Detailed deliberations were held on the prevailing security scenario, particularly in light of recent terror-related developments and emerging security challenges.
During the meeting, a power point presentation was made by the SSP Doda, followed by in-depth discussion on area domination, strengthening of nakas, intensified surveillance of anti-social and suspicious elements, real-time intelligence sharing and effective social media monitoring to prevent rumor-mongering and misinformation.
Specific operational strategies were chalked out to ensure foolproof security arrangements during Republic Day celebrations and other upcoming events.
SSP Doda stressed on the importance of seamless coordination, proactive intelligence sharing and high-level synergy among all stakeholder agencies to maintain peace and public order in the district.
He emphasized that timely sharing of actionable inputs and swift ground-level response is important to maintain tranquility during such significant national occasions.
The meeting concluded with all participating agencies reaffirming their resolve to work collectively and in close coordination to ensure peaceful, secure and incident-free Republic Day 2026 celebrations across the district.
