JAMMU, Jan 15: A delegation of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu led by its President Ranjeet Singh Tohra called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today.
The delegation comprised of Ranvir Singh, Jagpal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Karan Singh Bali and Avtar Singh put forth various issues pertaining to welfare and empowerment of Sikh Community in Jammu Kashmir including preservation and development of important Sikh religious and historical sites, Amendment of Sikh Religious and Endowment Act, 1973 and promotion of Punjabi language.
A delegation of Pir Panjal Tribal United Front led by former MLC and senior BJP leader Adv. Murtaza Khan also called on Lieutenant Governor.
A public delegation from Kathua led by Raghunandan Singh, Vice Chairman District Development Council Kathua also called on Lieutenant Governor.
Meanwhile, a delegation headed by Bhushan Bral, Member, District Development Council from Bhalwal Brahmana called on Lieutenant Governor.
Subsequently, representatives of Tejas Ek Pahal Foundation also called on the Lieutenant Governor.
Dr Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director IGNOU Jammu also called on Lieutenant Governor.
