Drone Moment spotted at IB in Samba also; Security Forces on High Alert
Poonch/Samba, Jan 15: Pakistani drones were spotted along sensitive areas of the Line of Control in Poonch district and the Indo-Pak International Border in Samba on Thursday evening, prompting a swift response from Indian security forces, officials said.
Official sources said, in Poonch, a drone was seen hovering over the Digwar sector for several minutes before Indian Army troops opened fire in response.
Meanwhile, in Samba district, a suspected drone movement was observed along the IB, followed shortly by another sighting in the Ramgarh sector. Security forces were immediately placed on high alert to prevent any potential threat.
Area domination, intensified patrolling, and enhanced surveillance have been launched along the border regions, officials said, adding that the situation continues to be closely monitored.
