KATHUA, Jan 12: Protesting over the mysterious death of Arjun Kumar, his family members and relatives blocked the National Highway in front of GMC Kathua seeking immediate justice and arrest of the culprits behind the crime.
The protesting family members and relatives of Arjun Kumar demanded immediate arrest of culprits who they alleged was murdered and whose body was found in Rajbagh area today.
Avtar Singh said that his brother Arjun Kumar, 35. son of Gulzar Chand resident of Mirpur Jagoo whose body was found at Rajbagh area was having wound marks on his person which shows that he has been done to death by some miscreants.
Avtar Singh said that his brother was hit by a car at Nagri and was missing since then. After searching a lot his body was found in opposite direction of Rajbagh area in mysterious circumstances. He was allegedly murdered by someone as some marks of wound were found on his neck.
The protesters demanded immediate arrest of accused behind the murder. Following the blockage of National Highway, a police team immediately rushed to the spot and assured the family members to take strict action into matter and if any foul play was ascertained, the police will not spare the assailants. Later on the assurance of police the family members shifted the dead body to his residence for last rites and restored the traffic movement on Highway.
