Four held for attempted theft at gold shop in RS Pura

JAMMU, Jan 11: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested four persons in connection with an attempted theft at a gold shop in the RS Pura area.
A police official said the incident took place on the intervening night of January 8 and 9, when unidentified miscreants tried to break open the lock of a jewellery shop, M/S Bhola Ornaments, but failed.
He said following a written complaint by the shop owner, Attu Shah, a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at Police Station RS Pura.
Acting swiftly, a special police team led by the Station House Officer RS Pura, under senior officers’ supervision, conducted a focused investigation using technical and local inputs and arrested four accused, including two residents of Bihar presently staying in the Jammu area and two locals.
Jammu and Kashmir Police have urged the public to remain vigilant, report suspicious activity promptly, and ensure proper security of their properties.
