JAMMU, Jan 11: A 38-year-old man died after his two-wheeler slipped into a roadside pond at the Lower Muthi Akalpur area here on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Arun Sethi, son of Bushan Sethi and a resident of Sarora Akalpur.
Officials said he was riding his bike when it skidded and fell into a waterbody near the road.
He was rescued and shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for treatment, they said.
However, Arun Sethi succumbed to his injuries around 12:08AM on Sunday, officials said.
His body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
