JAMMU, Jan 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a committee for valuation of JAKFED assets in a court-related case titled UT of J&K V/s Sanjeev Bhagat and others.
As per an order, the committee shall be headed by Special Secretary to the Government, Cooperative Department, with representatives of the GAD, Revenue Departments, and Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department as Members and Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Jammu (Liquidator) as the Member Secretary.
The committee has been mandated with valuing the assets of the JAKFED, determining the depreciated current market value of the buildings/structures built up by the JAKFED on the State land in order to arrive at the value of assets.
The committee shall be serviced by the Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Jammu (Liquidator) and submit its report to the Cooperative Department within 15 days, the order said.
