JAMMU, Jan 4: Police today claimed they have arrested one individual from Satwari area after recovering a large quantity of narcotic tablets and capsules, along with a sharp weapon, from his possession.
A police official said during routine patrolling at Dashmesh Nagar Park near MBS College, a team from Police Station Satwari intercepted a person on suspicion.
On checking, he said, 975 Alprazolam tablets, 264 capsules of Dicyclomine, Tramadol HCL and Acetaminophen, one sharp-edged weapon (toka), and a cash amount of Rs 2630 was recovered from his possession.
Following the recovery, a case FIR number 06/2026 under sections 8, 21,22 of the NDPS Act and sections 4/25 of the Arms Act was registered at Police Station Satwari, he said.
The police official added that further investigation is underway to trace the source and possible supply chain of the seized narcotic substances.
