JAMMU, Jan 3: A mysterious fire broke out in a residential house at Vikas Nagar area of Sarwal locality this morning, causing damage to household belongings.
Sources said the fire reportedly erupted due to a short circuit around 9:30 am in the house of one Kuldeep Kohli, who is presently abroad. The house falls under the jurisdiction of Police Post Sarwal.
They said the fire was first noticed by the tenant, Yogesh Jain, who immediately informed the Fire Brigade Department.
They said fire tenders rushed to the spot and managed to bring the flames under control within about half an hour.
However, by that time, several household items, including television sets, air conditioners, sofa sets, beds and other costly articles, were completely damaged.
Till the filing of this report, no complaint had been lodged with the concerned Police Post.
