POONCH, Dec 31: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma convened a Public outreach camp at Village Arai, Tehsil Mandi, to review ongoing developmental works and address public grievances.
The DDC was accompanied by ACD  Shakeel Ahmed Malik; Chief Education Officer Mukhtar Ahmad Manhas; Chief Agriculture Officer; Chief Horticulture Officer; Assistant Director, FCS&CA , Tehsildar Mandi,  Executive Engineer PMGSY   along with other concerned officers and social activist Molvi Mohd Fareed Malik.
Local residents, DDC members and former Sarpanches projected issues related to road connectivity, installation of electric poles, smart meters, water scarcity, issuance of job cards and other development concerns.
The District Development Commissioner assured the public that all genuine issues would be addressed on priority and directed the concerned departments for prompt action.
He also informed the public about the government welfare schemes, including PM Surya Yojana and agriculture-based initiatives. He encouraged residents to take benefit from schemes related to Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry to establish farm based enterprises.
The public appreciated the efforts of the district administration, especially the Rural Development Department (RDD), for its commitment towards grassroots development.
The camp concluded with an assurance of continued coordination between the administration and the public for inclusive development.
