HPS organises workshop on Phonetics and Communication Skills

SAMBA, Dec 31: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana organised an informative and engaging workshop on Phonetics and Communication Skills for its teaching staff with the objective of enhancing pronunciation, speaking abilities and effective classroom communication.
The workshop was conducted by Harish Raina. The programme commenced with the presentation of a bouquet and memento to Harish Raina by the school Principal, Gaurav Charak, as a mark of gratitude and appreciation.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Akashdeep Raina, Academic Incharge; Parsidh Singh, Higher Secondary Incharge; Namrata Sharma, High Wing Incharge; Vandana Sharma, Primary Wing Incharge; and Aparna Billowria, Pre-Primary Incharge, who motivated the teachers to actively participate and implement the learning outcomes in their classrooms.
The session covered important aspects of English phonetics, including English alphabets, correct pronunciation, speaking sounds, 20 vowel sounds and 24 consonant sounds. Harish Raina shared innovative, quick and easy techniques through live demonstrations, repetition drills, group activities and interactive exercises, helping teachers overcome common pronunciation errors and gain confidence in spoken English.
Teachers expressed satisfaction over the practical nature of the workshop, stating that it would significantly improve classroom delivery and student interaction. Principal Gaurav Charak emphasized the importance of continuous professional development for academic growth. The workshop concluded on a highly positive and enriching note.
