KATHUA, Dec 31: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan today conducted an extensive visit to Parliwand Ward 14, Ward 2, Partap Nagar Ward 17 and Upper Shiva Nagar Ward 19, where he listened to public grievances and reviewed civic issues.
Residents of Parliwand informed the legislator about the need for construction of lanes and drains, installation of a deep bore well and channelisation of the left side of Kathua Khad, which suffered heavy damage during the floods of August this year.
Several local representatives and residents accompanied the MLA during the visit.
During the visit to Parliwand, Dr Bharat Bhushan paid floral tributes to Kargil martyr Pawan Kumar on his birth anniversary in the presence of his family members and local residents.
He said the nation is proud of its soldiers who safeguard the country and make the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
In Ward 2, Partap Nagar and Upper Shiva Nagar, residents appreciated the MLA for personally visiting the areas and expressed hope that the issues raised would be addressed on priority.
Later, the MLA also visited the residence of veteran Gurparshad Khajuria and wished him good health.
