CRC Jammu celebrates 2nd Foundation Day

JAMMU, Dec 31: Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Jammu (Samba)-PDUNIPPD, New Delhi under DEPWD, Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MOSJE), celebrated its 2nd Foundation Day today with great enthusiasm and dignity. The programme was organized under the leadership of Director CRC Jammu.
Ranjeet Singh, Director, Department of Social Welfare, Jammu, graced the occasion as special guest. The function was further honoured by the presence of eminent dignitaries including Ashok Kumar, NDCOI Member, Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment; Bhagwati, Board Member, Union Ministry of Railways; Guldev Raj Bhagat, Retired IAS and a noted social activist; along with Dilawar Kumar (SHO Arnia).
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a cultural performance presented by Persons with Disabilities, beneficiaries of CRC Jammu, showcasing their talent and confidence.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr Rohnika Sharma (Director, CRC Jammu), who highlighted the achievements, objectives, and services of the Centre towards empowerment and rehabilitation of PwDs.
On the occasion, assistive aids and appliances, including TLM kits and motorized wheelchairs, were distributed among the beneficiaries to support their rehabilitation and independence through PMDK.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Naveen Gupta, Administrative Officer, CRC Jammu.
A total of around 100 participants attended the programme, including CRC staff, beneficiaries, their parents, and ASHA workers from CDPO Satwari and Gandhi Nagar.
