KISHTWAR, Dec 30: District Administration Kishtwar has issued a show cause notice to the Assistant Executive Engineer, PMGSY Marwah, for alleged failure to attend and conduct duties under the nationwide governance campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” at designated locations in Marwah subdivision.
According to the official order issued by the Office of the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kishtwar, the officer was nominated vide earlier orders dated December 20 and December 23, to function as a visiting officer for the programme at Changer and Deherna blocks of Marwah.
However, it was been reported by local residents and through social media that the concerned officer failed to attend and conduct the programme at the scheduled venues and dates. The absence allegedly led to non-holding and disruption of planned activities under the campaign, which the administration has termed as a serious breach of official duty and lack of supervision.
The Order further states that despite clear nomination and prior intimation, the officer’s non-attendance prima facie amounts to dereliction of duty and disobedience of lawful orders issued by the competent authority in connection with an important nationwide governance initiative.
In view of the lapse, the officer has been directed to submit a written explanation within three days of receipt of the notice, supported by documentary evidence, if any. The administration has also warned that failure to submit a satisfactory reply within the stipulated period will result in ex-parte proceedings, including confirmation of withholding of salary from December 2025 onwards and initiation of further disciplinary action under rules.
