JAMMU, Dec 26: Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, a special comprehensive health camp was organized at village salani in aspirational block Mankote to strengthen health key performance indicators and to ensure last-mile delivery of essential healthcare services in remote and border areas.
The camp was conducted under the leadership of BMO Mendhar, Dr. Mohd Ashfaq, with coordinated support from the DPMU and BPMU, while Aspirational Block Programme Fellow Ajaz Ahmed played a key coordinating and facilitative role in ensuring inter-departmental convergence, community mobilization, and smooth execution of the initiative.
The camp was manned by a dedicated medical team comprising Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Dr. Rabnawaz Khan, Maniza Bi (ANM), Imtiaz Ahmed (Pharmacist), Mohd Yaseen (HE), Mohd Janghir (LA), Ishtiaq Ahmed (MTS), Parvaiz Akhter (LHV), and Makhmood (MTS). A comprehensive range of preventive and promotive services were delivered, including screening for hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, and anaemia, antenatal care services, Vay Vandana Card registration for senior citizens above 70 years of age, and awareness sessions on National Health Programmes. The camp witnessed active participation from the local population, reinforcing the district administration’s commitment to accessible, inclusive, and quality healthcare delivery.
