JAMMU, Dec 25: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri here today demanded merger of 50 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA), release of 18 months pending DA installment arrears and payment of 20 percent interim relief in favour of both Central as well as all State Government employees and pensioners.
In a handout, he claimed that high prices of day-to-day goods have made it difficult for the government employees and pensioners to afford even basic commodities in their lives.
Shastri urged the 8th Central Pay Commission panel to commence its visits to all the States and Union Territories of the country to discuss with all the stake holders for devising formula for finalizing recommendations to the Central Government.
