Foundation stone of Technology Park to be laid shortly: Jitendra

JAMMU, Aug 30: Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Jitendra Singh today announced that foundation stone of Technology Park at Ghatti in Kathua district would be laid within next two weeks.
While interacting with the gathering at Bari Brahmana Industrial Association office, Mr Singh, while responding to the issue raised by the Association members, said, “the issue regarding Technology Park pertains to the department under my charge and I assure that foundation stone would be laid within next two weeks”.
He also assured to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector and encouraged the entrepreneurs to set up the Industrial units, which will provide employment to local unemployed youths of the State.
The function was also attended by Mubarak Singh, Deputy Commissioner Samba and senior Government officials besides, galaxy of the Industrialists and presidents of all Industries Associations.
Earlier, while welcoming the minister,  Annil Suri, president of BBIA, also highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial Sector like restoration of  Refund of 100 percent  Central Excise Duty paid, 100  percent Income Tax Exemption for Industrial Units, applicability of existing Industrial package of incentives to existing units, Prime Minister’s Task Force recommendations on MSME, mother Industry, compulsory purchase by Central Government  organization, Cross- LoC trade and  allocation of funds for Common Effluent Treatment Plant and site for hazardous waste disposal, upgradation of infrastructure of Industrial  Estates, Development of New Industrial Estates, Power, road connectivity, telecommunication, Technology Park, etc.
On the occasion, mementos were also presented to the guests.
