Dr Rajeev Bhagat launches development works worth Rs 49 lakh in Bishnah

MLA Bishnah, Dr Rajiv Bhagat kick starting development works in his constituency on Tuesday.

JAMMU, Dec 23: Accelerating the pace of infrastructure development in the Bishnah Assembly constituency, Member of the Legislative Assembly, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bhagat today kick-started a series of vital development works valued at approximately Rs 49 lakh. These projects, executed by the Public Works Department (PWD), focus on enhancing road connectivity and improving drainage systems across various sectors of the constituency.
The development drive commenced with the macadamization of the link road extending from the main road at Taraf Brahmana to Krail Manhasan. The technical breakdown of this road project includes Wet Mix Macadam 500 meters 50 mm thick Bituminous Macadam 550 meters and 25 mm thick SDBC (Semi-Dense Bituminous Concrete): 950 meters.
Additionally, Dr. Bhagat inaugurated the construction of a crucial drain from the residence of Kamal Kishore (near RK Traders) to Dhhinday Morh at village Chak Avtara on the Bishnah-Kunjwani road. To further boost internal connectivity, the construction of a link road from the residence of Gurmeet Singh to Lakhbir Singh in Ward No. 7, Baba Fareed Nagar, Sehora, was also officially started.
During the inauguration, Dr. Bhagat was accompanied by Rafiq Ahmad, Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD Sub Division Bishnah, along with his technical team. The MLA emphasized the importance of maintaining high-quality standards and directed the executing agency to ensure the timely completion of these projects to avoid public inconvenience. “Infrastructure is the backbone of a prosperous constituency. My priority is to ensure that every corner of Bishnah has modern facilities and well-maintained roads,” Dr. Bhagat stated while addressing a gathering of locals.
The local leaders and residents of the area were present on the occasion. Prominent among those present included Abhishek Jamwal (Mandal Pardhan Bishnah Rural), Arjun Singh (general secretary), Ramesh Kummar (vice president), Vijay Singh (former Sarpanch), and Bodh Raj (former Panch), along with Ashwani Kumar, Gopal Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Paramjeet Kour, Sarabjeet Singh, Manmeet Singh, Ravi Kumar, Simmy, Mohan Lal, Mandeep Singh, Lakhvir Singh, Karanjit Singh and other local dignitaries.
