UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Reaffirming the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat as the cornerstone of a transformed New India, Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Udhampur East, today conducted an Assembly-level public outreach programme at village Chiani, tehsil Majalta.
The programme witnessed an overwhelming and mammoth participation of local residents, with remarkable presence of women and members of the SC/ST communities, reflecting inclusive grassroots engagement.
Drawing inspiration from the clarion call of Narendra Modi, the MLA emphasized that history will remember this era as India before Atmanirbhar Bharat and India after Atmanirbhar Bharat. He stated that self-reliance is not merely an economic slogan but a people-centric movement aimed at empowering the last person standing in the last row.
To further this vision, line departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Cooperatives, and other allied agencies were invited to the programme to disseminate information about ongoing Government schemes. These initiatives, the MLA stressed, are designed to make people self-reliant by strengthening livelihoods, boosting local entrepreneurship, and ensuring sustainable income generation.
On the occasion, the road from the house of Praveen Singh to the SC/ST Basti was formally inaugurated amid thunderous applause from the gathered public. The inauguration symbolized the Government’s commitment to reach marginalized and previously neglected sections, ensuring that the fruits of development are shared equitably.
Pathania reiterated that the essence of Atmanirbhar Bharat lies in uplifting the neglected sections of society. He highlighted that development priorities are being consciously aligned to benefit marginalized communities, ensuring dignity, access, and opportunity for all.
The MLA was lauded by the locals for initiating 21 new road projects in the area. Under various schemes, these roads-earlier marked by potholes and poor connectivity-are now being macadamized, bringing renewed hope, improved mobility, and economic activity to the region.
Among those present on the occasion were Mohinder Sharma (Mandal Pradhan), Shiv Ram, Mast Ram, Uttam Singh, Santosh Devi, Gyan Chand, Mohd Altaf, Showkat Ali, and a large gathering of enthusiastic local residents.
The programme concluded with a collective resolve to actively participate in the journey towards a self-reliant, inclusive, and developed India, in true spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
