DODA, Dec 21: MLA, Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar today laid the foundation stone for the Assar-Dhansal road to Patta via Haliya Hirni, spanning a length of 15.3 kilometers.
The road project, to be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 73 crore, is a major infrastructure initiative aimed at strengthening road connectivity in the region. Once completed, the road will provide reliable and all-weather access to several villages, reduce travel time, and improve mobility for the local population.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA stated that the project will play a key role in boosting economic activity, improving access to essential services, and enhancing the overall quality of life for the people living in remote and hilly areas. He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing infrastructure development as a foundation for inclusive growth in Doda West.
Local residents, BJP Mandal team including Mandal Pradhan Assar, party workers, public representatives, and officials from the concerned departments were present and expressed satisfaction over the commencement of this long-awaited project.
The laying of the foundation stone reflects continued efforts to bridge connectivity gaps and accelerate development in the region.
Parihar highlighted the thrust given by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in development of far-flung and remote areas by way of constructing a good network of roads, improving civic amenities, facilities of pure drinking water and electricity.
He also highlighted various public welfare schemes launched by the Modi Government for benefit of common masses in the country saying that special priority has been given to J&K in this regard.
