JAMMU, Dec 20: Mission Shakti District Hub for Empowerment of women Jammu Social Welfare Department organised a Dental Check-Up Camp at Government Middle School, Hakkal.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers reflecting the growing awareness about oral health and hygiene.
The initiative was aimed at early detection and prevention of dental ailments, particularly among school-going children . Dr Sushma Dogra Dr Hitashi Bharat conducted comprehensive oral examinations, offered expert consultations, and provided guidance on proper dental care practices, including brushing techniques, diet awareness, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
During the camp, participants were screened for common dental issues such as cavities, gum diseases, tooth decay, and oral infections. Beneficiaries requiring further treatment were counselled and referred to appropriate healthcare facilities for advanced care. Mission Shakti also distributed dental kits to the students .
The school administration Zonal Education Officer Satwari Zaver Noor expressed sincere gratitude to Mission Shakti Jammu for bringing essential healthcare services to the grassroots level. Such initiatives, they noted, not only bridge healthcare gaps but also instil lifelong healthy habits among young minds.
