UDHAMPUR, Dec 20: Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur today held the valediction ceremony of two specialized training courses aimed at strengthening police capabilities in cyber and financial crime investigations.
A statement said a total of 42 police officers from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the programmes.
The two courses included “Investigation of Cyber Crime,” sponsored by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), New Delhi, and “Cryptocurrency Investigations.”
The training programmes were designed to enhance professional skills to deal with emerging cyber threats and complex digital financial crimes.
SSP Benam Tosh, Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, presided over the ceremony and distributed certificates to the participants.
In his address, he highlighted the growing challenges posed by cybercrime and virtual currencies and stressed the need for continuous training and skill upgradation for effective investigations.
He appreciated the enthusiasm and active participation of the officers and urged them to apply the knowledge gained during the courses in their field duties.
He also advised the officers to uphold ethics and values such as honesty, integrity and credibility while conducting investigations with objectivity and sincerity.
The programmes concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the department’s commitment to strengthening cybercrime investigation capabilities through focused and specialized training.
The courses were coordinated by Course Directors Vivek Kalsotra and Sanjeet Sharma, with support from faculty members Sanjay Kumar and Melisha Devi.
