KATHUA, Dec 19: MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia, today conducted public meetings at Chainpura Jakhole and Malmamman. These gatherings were specifically organized to provide local residents a platform to share their grievances, aspirations, and suggestions directly with their elected representative, underscoring a governance approach that is both transparent and citizen-centric.
During the meetings, MLA Jasrotia attentively listened to the residents’ concerns, which spanned a wide array of issues, including infrastructure development, road repairs, water supply, electricity, health facilities, sanitation, education, and community welfare initiatives. Residents raised specific problems such as delayed maintenance of roads, irregular water supply, and the need for better primary health facilities. The MLA assured the citizens that their grievances would be documented and prioritized, with follow-up action taken in coordination with the concerned Government departments. He emphasized that public participation is key to effective development and encouraged residents to actively engage in monitoring and supporting local governance initiatives.
The meetings were attended by several prominent local leaders and representatives, reflecting a strong collaborative spirit in addressing public concerns. Notable attendees included Mandal Pardhan Jasrota, Sarpanch Balwant Singh, ex Sarpanch Shiv Dev Singh, Capt (retd) ,Omkar Singh, ex Panch, Vinod Kumar, ex Sarpanch, Sudarshan Khajuria, Chaggar Singh, Bhavishan Sharma, Randeep Singh Pappi, Adv Jasbir, Capt (retd) Balkar Singh, Sunit Singh, and Jitendar Singh, among others.
Their participation reinforced the role of grassroots leadership in bridging the gap between the administration and the public, ensuring that citizen voices are heard and acted upon.
MLA Jasrotia also made it a point to engage directly with women, youth, and senior citizens, understanding their unique concerns and encouraging them to take active roles in community development. He highlighted initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, skill development programmes, improved educational facilities, women’s safety, and senior citizen welfare schemes. The MLA stressed that the Government’s development agenda focuses on inclusive growth, aiming to uplift all sections of society while ensuring equitable access to resources and services.
