Dozens of aspirants gathered at Srinagar’s Press Enclave, holding banners with photographs of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior BJP leader Ravindra Raina, to thank the administration for ordering action following an official probe into the appointments.
The protesting aspirants said the inquiry had been fair and transparent. “The earlier appointments were irregular. We respect the process and hope this ensures transparency in future recruitments,” one of the aspirants said.
Parvez Ahmad Itoo, who has been associated with the campaign seeking a probe, said aspirants had submitted evidence related to the alleged irregularities. “We had provided details about paper leaks, family connections, and other issues. The investigation is still in progress, and the Anti-Corruption Bureau is working to uncover the remaining facts,” he told reporters.
