JAMMU, Dec 16: Birth anniversary of Shaiva Acharya Swami Ram Ji was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety today by the devotees.
In this connection grand functions were held at Ram Shaiva Trika Ashrams Gole Gujral and Naseeb Nagar Jammu as well as at all centres world over in which a large a number of devotes took part and paid obeisance to Swami Ji.
Addressing the religious gathering at Gole Gujral Ashram speakers threw light on the life and contribution of Swami Ram Ji. They said Swami Ram Ji has been a source of inspiration for many modern day spiritual seekers and practitioners. Swami Ji emphasized the importance of experiencing the divine nature of consciousness directly rather than relying solely on scriptures or intellectual knowledge. His knowledge on Kashmir Shaivism emphasizing on the non-dual nature of reality and unity of all things was due to his enlightened Guru, Pt. Mansaram Monga, a Siddha Yogi who transmitted the knowledge of Kashmir Shaivism also known as ” Trika Philosophy ” to him just by a mere touch.
They said Swami Ramji Maharaj was born on December 16 in 1854 and entered into Samadhi at Ram Shaiva Trik Ashram, Fathe Kadal, Srinagar, Kashmir.
The birthday celebrations were started with the Pooja Archana followed by Prasad distribution.
The week -long series of programmes in connection with 172nd Jayanti of Swami Ram Ji Maharaj was organized by Shri Ram Trika Ashram Nasib Nagar. The first event in the series was organised in Writer’s Cub on the theme Yogini Lalleshwari in the light of Trik Darshan.
The next in the line was series of webinars in which Trika Shaiv scholars, Dr. Mahesh Koul , Sunil Raja Naka and Sanjay Raina threw light on Trik darshan and contribution of Abhinavgupt , Vasugupt , Khemraj, Swami Ram Ji Maharaj and Ishwar Swaroop Laxman Joo to Kashmir Shaiv Darshan in philosophical and practising aspects.
This was followed by celebration Jayanti of Anandeswhwar Bhairav on December 14.
The celebration of 172nd Pradhur Bhaav Diwas of Swami Ram Ji who was the incarnation of Anandeshwar Bhairav culminated the week long series of events. The celebrations started with Padika Puja and recitation of Rudramantra hymens, Tantrashatras Bahurupgar, Sangrasotra and Purshsukta. The Padika Puja was performed by research scholars, Dr Mahesh Kaul, Shankar Kak , Amit Raina and the birthday Pooja was performed by Krishan Kumar Dhar . After the Pooja prasad was served to the devotees.
