JAMMU, Dec 14: A 30-year-old individual from Bihar died here after consuming some unknown poisonous material, officials said.
Bittu Kumar son of Mathewari Mandal of Bihar at present Bala Colony area of Trikuta Nagar was admitted to Government Medical College Jammu on December 7 after he consumed some unknown poisonous material at his current accommodation, they said.
He breathed his last at the hospital around 6:56 AM today, officials said.
While the body of the deceased individual has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, inquest proceedings have been initiated to further probe into the matter.
