JAMMU, Dec 14: Dogra Sadar Sabha today reviewed arrangements for the celebration of Dogri Manyata Divas, scheduled on Dec 20, 2025 and announced the new team of Jammu Urban Youth Wing.
In this connection, Dogra Sadar Sabha Working President and Incharge Youth Wing, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak organized a meeting, which was presided over by DSS President Col Karan Singh.
Bhavanyu Bhagat was appointed as Convenor; Tanishq Singh as President; Akhileshwar as Vice President; Rewel Chouhan, Amit and Ranvijay as General Secretaries; Suryansh and Raghav as Secretaries); Ayan Raina, Dhruv Sodi, Rudhra, Vaibhav and Kartik Meenia as Joint Secretaries.
Earlier, 40 youth from various education disciplines, motivated by the youth wing president, joined the DSS. The energetic youngsters, mostly dressed in traditional Dogra attire and flaunting the Dogra turbans entered the Sabha Hall carrying Dogra flags and raising “Jai Duggar” slogans.
Addl General Secretary, S Arvinder Singh Amn delivered a motivating welcome address followed by explaining the background and contributions of the DSS.
Col Karan Singh elaborated the aims, achievements and objectives of the Sabha touching upon the background and major landmarks in the 121 years of long and distinguished history of the DSS.
Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, in a lively motivational speech, exhorted the new members to effectively dedicate themselves to boost the social welfare activities taken up by the DSS from time to time. He called upon the youth to be purposeful and useful by dedication and sincere devotion into the society and join in progressive nation building by overcoming all futile differences of caste, communities as the DSS are strictly an ‘apolitical’ body. He introduced the executive body members to the newcomers and announced the appointments given to the new members.
Col Vir Sahi, Brig M S Jamwal, Brig V S Dhiman, Jagdeep Singh, Amanat Ali Shah, Shhankar Singh, Ravi Singh, and Dr Vidyasagar Sharma were also present on the occasion.
