RAJOURI, Dec 13: Thanamandi police today arrested one person for using a banned VPN application on his mobile phone.
Official sources said that Police Station Thanamandi apprehended Mohd Qasim, son of Abdul Gani resident of village Khablan, Thanamandi in Rajouri. During checking his mobile phone was thoroughly examined in which a suspicious banned VPN application was found installed in violation of the orders issued by the District Magistrate.
In this regard a case FIR No. 165/2025 under Section 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Thanamandi. The accused has been arrested and his mobile phone has been seized as case property in the instant case.
SDPO Thanna Mandi Parupkar Singh and SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar have appealed to the general public to strictly adhere to the tenant verification guidelines. They warned that any violation will invite strict legal action. Further investigation is in progress.
