BMS to launch awareness fortnight on Labour Codes

JAMMU, Dec 11: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) J&K has claimed that with the implementation of Labour Codes, more than 40 crore people working in private and public sector will be benefitted.
Addressing a press conference here today, Pawan Kumar, Zonal BMS organising secretary said after independence it is for the first time that such labour oriented reforms were initiated by the central government.
He said that ESI coverage has been also going to extend all over the country and in hazardous place of working even single worker will be covered under ESI.
“In new Wage code provision has been made to revise minimum wages after every five years along and Trade Unions have been empowered to file criminal complaint while earlier this power was vested with the Labour Officer only,” the BMS leader maintained.
He also counted many other benefits of the Labour Codes and informed that BMS is going to launch awareness fortnight campaign from December 15 to 30, 2025 among working class on these Codes.
Neelam Sharma, general secretary, Ashok Choudhary, organising secretary, Harbans Choudhary, Incharge legal cell BMS, Ravi Hans, Subash Chander, Ramesh Lal, Chuni Lal and Samir Sharma were also present in the press conference.
