Srinagar, Dec 10: Police today solved a theft case registered at Police Station Sopore, arresting the accused and recovering the stolen property.
Authorities stated that the Police Station Sopore received a complaint from Syed Salah Ud Din, Manager, Shadowfax Logistics, Ashpeer Sopore, regarding the theft of mobile phones.
Accordingly, FIR No. 272/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was promptly initiated, police said.
During the course of investigation, as per police, multiple suspects were examined, and officers zeroed in on one suspect, identified as Afaq Ahmad Ahanger son of Suna Ullah Ahanger resident of Amberpora Tarzoo Sopore.
During questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime. On his disclosure, police recovered the stolen property worth approximately Rs 50,000. The case was solved within 24 hours of the incident, police said.
