DODA, Dec 8: Police here today arrested a Madrassa teacher Nasir Majeed, son of Abdul Majeed, resident of Challer, Tehsil Chilli Pingal within three hours of receiving complaint.
After receiving the complaint regarding rape of a minor at Madrassa Dar-ul-Quran Goila in Gandoh area, an FIR with No. 119/2025 was registered under the relevant sections of the BNS and POCSO Act.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, a special team led by IC PP Khara was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh and SHO Gandoh. The team immediately launched an investigation, developed vital leads and initiated an intensive search for the accused and apprehended him.
Further investigation into the case was underway as per legal procedure.
