Army sends border students on tour to Uttarakhand

POONCH, Dec 7: The Indian Army’s Poonch Brigade on Sunday flagged off a National Integration tour for school students from areas located close to the India–Pakistan Line of Control.
A total of 25 students and two teachers have been sent outside the district to witness the cultural and geographic diversity of the country.
The tour bus was flagged off by Brigadier Sachindra Joshi, Commander Poonch Brigade, along with Deputy Commander Himanshu, in the presence of other officers.
As part of the tour, the students will visit Dehradun, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Raj Bhavan, and several other significant locations. They will also get an opportunity to take part in adventure sports activities during the trip.
Expressing happiness over this initiative, the students thanked the Army for providing them with such a valuable opportunity and exposure.
